Thanksgiving is the time of year to indulge in fantastic food, but it is also a time to truly reflect on what you are thankful for in your life. Each year at Major League University, we take this time to reflect on what we are most grateful for. Gratitude is something we teach to every single athlete. It is something that remains a core principle for us. Gratitude plays a vital role in bringing joy to our lives. It allows us to show thanks to those who have played such an essential role in our lives in helping us get to where we are.
Showing gratitude and thankfulness can have far-reaching effects, from improving our mental health to boosting our relationships with those around us. It helps you recognize the little wins in life, whether it is the sun shining through your window when you wake up, when a stranger holds the door open for you, or when someone does something nice for you out of the kindness of your heart. Focusing on the good around us can help put us in a better place. It can not only make us feel good, but it can help motivate us to do good for others and give back. This year we all wanted to share what we are grateful for, but we can say we are thankful to you all for your support. Major League University wouldn’t be what it is today without each of you.

I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the next generation of leaders alongside some of the best people I know. It’s been a blessing to pour into student-athletes over the last 4 years and to positively impact their lives. I’m grateful for my amazing family who have supported us through this journey, and we couldn’t have done it without them.

I am thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many athletes. I am thankful for my family for supporting me every step of the way. And last but not least, I am thankful for you, our supporters, that have helped MLU grow so much over the last three years.

I am first and foremost thankful to Austin and Ray for allowing me to help share and spread the mission of MLU. To be able to spend my free time focusing on impacting the next generation has indeed been incredible. Sharing my thoughts and words through this blog has been a joy and to see others utilize it to help them with the mental side of things has meant the world. I am thankful for my fantastic family and fiancee Ciara, who have supported me in this venture outside my usual 9-5 job.
Remember that even when it is not Thanksgiving, always keep practicing gratitude. Write down three things you are grateful for every single day. Find ways to volunteer and help out in your community to impact the individuals around you! We are thankful for all of you! We aim to spread that message throughout our work.
