Realign Your Core Values With This 10 Minute Exercise

What are your core values? What are values anyway? And why is any of this important?

Values are what we feel is the most important to us in how we live, act, work, and interact in the world. Our values are a way for us to do a self-check. Are we living the way we SHOULD?

When our actions align with our values, we generally feel pretty positive and satisfied with the results. On the other hand, when our actions don’t align with our values, we can feel upset, stressed, or down.

This is why it is important to know exactly what your values are in the first place! Follow the instructions below to get your values lined up! Let us know in the comments below what your values are!

Core Values Exercise

Step 1:

Download the Core Values Worksheet PDF

Step 2:

Write down any words from the list that resonate with you. There is no need to overthink this.

Step 3:

Group the words you wrote down into 5 smaller groups. There is no right or wrong with how you group them. Do it in an order that makes sense to you.

Step 4:

Pick one word from each of the groups that will represent each group and circle it.

Step 5:

Attach a verb to each of the circled words. Examples include: Walk in grace. Thrive on adventure. Live with passion.

Step 6:

Order your values 1-5, with #1 being the MOST important to you. Be sure to write these somewhere you will see them often! I have mine saved as the front page of my daily journal below—>

Remember to leave a comment with what your values are. You have the chance to change the world for the better! Thank you for all the support.
